How do you handle floor care in high-traffic areas?
Floor cleaning is divided into four parts with the acronym of C.H.A.T.: Chemical, Heat, Aggitation & Time (Dwell). High traffic areas require a different breakdown of these cleaning components. We focus on the components that deliver the best results.
What safety measures do you take to protect flooring during maintenance?
While much of our services take place later in the evening after everyone has gone home, we utilize wet floor signs and caution tape whenever necessary. We can even use air movers (fans) to expedite the drying time.

Our motto is “If You Walk On It, We Clean It”. At Scher Flooring Services we have been cleaning and restoring virtually every type of commercial floor covering for nearly 30 years. We offer our customers a “One Stop” solution to all of their floor cleaning needs.

There are many floor coverings available today. Whether carpet, tile, wood or stone, the procedures vary and the price varies as well. We are always happy to come out and give you a complimentary estimate.
Do you provide emergency floor care services?
While we are not set up to offer 24 hour emergency services, we are ALWAYS willing to work to meet any deadlines that you may have. We have been known to juggle our entire calendar in order to fit in a client with a short tern around.
Can you address specific floor issues like stains, scuffs, or scratches?
Of course. Stains, scuffs, and scratches are what we are all about! Well, getting rid of them, that is. By definition, a stain is permanent. Spots, on the other hand are treated by our crews every single day. While we would be lying if we said that they all come out 100%, we have an impressive track record. As for scuffs and scratches, if they are in the finish, then there is no problem. If they are in the floor covering, then challenges can exist. We generally know the difference by looking at them.
How long does it take for floors to dry after cleaning and maintenance?
Dry times vary. Dry carpet cleaning can be walked on immediately. Wet carpet cleaning dries fuuly within several hour if the environment is good. Any service that requires a finish applied after the cleaning/stripping can be walked on several hours after we leave, but furniture should remain off for at least 6-8 hours.
Are your cleaning products safe for different types of flooring?
Because flooring types vary so much, the chemicals that are used to clean them vary as well. It is imperative that your service provider understands the chemicals in today’s market and uses them correctly. We pride ourselves on knowing what to use, how much and when.
What floor cleaning and maintenance methods do you use?

We use a variety of floor buffers to perform both VCT and LVT services. We can scrub rubber, tile, and stone floors. We even clean wood and marble floors.
