Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you are looking for a company to get your floors looking great again, then look no further! These guys are the best out there. I work for a fitness company that operates several gyms across the region. I recently contracted Scher Flooring to see what they could do with the floors at our highest traffic club. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being best, the floors were probably a 3. They weren’t in the best shape. They came out and did a demo on a small portion. At first, the results weren’t spectacular. However, here’s the impressive part. David and Andy went out of their way to do research and come up with a different process and came back and demoed again. This time they brought the floors from a 3 to a solid 8.5-9. We went ahead and did the whole floor and the difference was amazing. The floors look almost new again! The customer service, the work itself, and the entire experience with this company was top notch. We will definitely use them for the rest of the clubs and on recurring intervals. 10/10 recommend.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommend David and his team for all your commercial cleaning needs. I own a flooring installation company and whenever my clients need a cleaning company I always send them along to David the Owner of Scher Commercial Floor Cleaning. Over the years I have always received amazing feedback from everyone! On one occasion my carpet installers accidentally spilled commercial grade carpet tile adhesive and his team was able to clean the mess up quickly and effectively! The team is quick to respond, very professional and a fair price!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Scher Flooring Services always exceeds our expectations! I have used Scher Flooring for many years. Our childcare center has many classrooms and our floors have heavy traffic areas that endure exposure to spills and stains often. Scher Flooring perform both carpet cleaning and hard surface cleaning for our company. We are extremely happy with the quality of the services performed and especially appreciate the team's attention to detail. Mind In Motion Child Care - Gaithersburg, MD

Frequently Asked Questions

For more than 30 years, Scher Flooring Services has helped property managers, facilities directors, and building owners across Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, and West Virginia protect one of their biggest investments: their floors. Below are straight answers to the questions we hear most, from how often floors need service to what it costs and how we work around your schedule. If you don’t see your question here, call us at (301) 444-4512 and we’ll be glad to help.

What does Scher Flooring Services do?

Scher Flooring Services is a commercial floor cleaning, restoration, and maintenance company based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. We clean and protect carpet, VCT and LVT, rubber, ceramic and stone, and wood flooring for businesses and institutions across Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, and the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. We have served the region since 1995.

What types of flooring do you clean?

Our motto is “If you walk on it, we clean it.” We clean and maintain carpet, vinyl composition tile (VCT), luxury vinyl tile (LVT), rubber, ceramic, porcelain, and quarry tile, slate, marble, terrazzo, concrete, and both natural oil and urethane finished wood. If you are unsure what type of floor you have, we can identify it during a free walkthrough.

How much does commercial floor cleaning cost?

Pricing is based on the size of the project, how often service is needed, and the type of floor covering. Because two buildings of the same size can have very different needs, we price every job after a free site evaluation rather than quoting a flat rate sight unseen.

Can you work after hours or on weekends?

Yes. We are a 24/7 company, and most of our work happens after hours and on weekends so floors are dry and ready when your building opens. We schedule around your occupancy, not ours.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, and the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. Our office is located at 12154 Darnestown Road, Suite 507, Gaithersburg, MD 20878.

How do I get started?

Call us at (301) 444-4512, email us, text us, or book a time online through our scheduling page. We will set up a free walkthrough, assess your floors, answer your questions, and give you a clear plan and written estimate.
