David Scher
After graduating from Temple University in 1987, David entered the hospitality industry with Marriott International. It was there that he learned some of the businesses’ most important lessons: “The customer is always right” and one that he has been saying for years, “It’s YOUR money, you tell me what you want.” In 1995 David brought those hospitality principles to the commercial floor cleaning & restoration industry.
Andy, Vice President
Andy was born in Elmira, New York and graduated from SUNY Cortland in 1996. After moving to the Washington DC/Baltimore area in 2005, he co-founded Nu-Life Carpet Inc., a full-service floor cleaning and restoration company. 2008 was a successful year for Andy as he purchased Nu-Life from his partners. After acquiring the company, Andy sought to align himself with a strategic partner. He saw that partner in Scher Flooring Services (SFS). Over the past 15 years, the Nu-Life, Scher Flooring relationship has grown and evolved. Today, Andy holds the title of Corporate Operations Officer for SFS and oversees all aspects of operations, staffing and training. He brings his 18 years of industry experience to bear each, and every day and our clients are happy that he does.
Kevin, Sales Manager
Kevin grew up surrounded by flooring “industry talk”. Whether on the sales side or the service side. His mother, Gail Rosenberg, represents the sales side. Her thirty plus years selling commercial flooring throughout the Washington DC area gave Kevin a unique perspective. But it was the lure of entrepreneurialism that drew him to the service side.
After graduating from James Madison University, Kevin joined his father at Scher Flooring Services (SFS). Today, as Sales Manager, Kevin interacts with clients large and small. He can often be found on site, inspecting clients’ cleaning and restoration challenges and creating annual maintenance programs. The product knowledge that he gained from his mother coupled with the decades of cleaning services offered by SFS put Kevin in a unique position to take Scher Flooring Services to new heights.
