Maintaining Three Restaurant Locations

In 2015, the regional manager for the Founding Farmers Restaurant Group contacted Scher Flooring Services (SFS) with a request to submit a series of proposals to clean and maintain the group’s six restaurants which are located throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area.

After performing extensive site visits at all the restaurants, SFS created location specific proposals.  Each proposal addressed the carpeting and the upholstery and the annual frequencies per location.

Carpet Cleaning

Scher performs the commercial carpet cleaning using a shampoo & hot water extraction method.  This multi-step process includes the shampooing of the carpets using low pH state of the art detergents to suspend soils, grease and dirt.  This step is followed by pH neutral hot water extraction.

Upholstery Cleaning

For the upholstery, Scher pre-conditions the textiles with an upholstery specific emulsifier.  After light agitation, the fibers are extracted and force dried.  Finally, an application of Fluorochemicals (Scotchgard) are applied to protect the upholstery until the next scheduled cleaning.

SFS cleans each location between four and six times a year.
