In April of 2022, George Washington University reached out to Scher Flooring Services (SFS) concerning newly installed Ecore Vulcanized Composition Rubber (VCR) Tiles that they were having trouble keeping clean.  Their in-house janitorial staff was simply mopping the floor and that procedure was not effective in cleaning the rubber floors.

SFS proposed a “Clean & Seal” service for the commercial rubber flooring.  This process included the scrubbing of the floors with Ecore’s E-Strip, followed by extraction and a pH neutralizing mopping.

Once the floors were fully dried, SFS applied three coats of Ecore’s E-Finish.  In addition to restoring the cleanliness of the rubber flooring, this procedure allowed the in-house janitorial staff to maintain the floors with significantly better results.
